Responsibilities:

  • Analyze IT Needs: Assess the IT needs of the organization to determine the necessary equipment, software, and services.

  • Vendor Research: Identify and evaluate potential vendors and suppliers to ensure they meet the organization's requirements.

  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to secure the best deals.

  • Order Management: Oversee the ordering process to ensure timely delivery of IT resources.

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that procured items meet specified quality standards.

  • Supplier Relationships: Maintain and manage relationships with suppliers and vendors.

  • Inventory Management: Manage the inventory of IT resources and ensure they are updated as necessary.

  • Record Keeping: Maintain records of purchases, contracts, and invoices.

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement procedures.

  • Problem Resolution: Handle any issues or problems that arise with orders or suppliers.

Qualifications:

  1. Experience: Proven experience as an IT Procurement Specialist or in a similar role.

  2. Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of IT equipment, software, and services.

  3. Negotiation Skills: Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms.

  4. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to evaluate vendor performance and cost-saving opportunities.

  5. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  6. Time Management: Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.

  7. Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.

  8. Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., CPM, APP, ITIL) are advantageous.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the specific industry the organization operates in.

  2. Technical Certifications: Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure).

  3. Procurement Tools: Proficiency in procurement tools and software (e.g., Purchase-to-pay systems).
