HR Manager Job Description

The HR Manager plays a critical role in leading the Human Resources function at our client's Sugar & Distillery plant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective manpower planning strategies to meet business needs.
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, training, and development initiatives for plant-level employees.
  • Drive employee engagement and retention through positive workplace culture initiatives.
  • Manage industrial relations and maintain strong union/worker relationships while ensuring compliance with labor laws and statutory requirements.
  • Oversee time office, payroll, attendance, and shift management systems for seamless operations.
  • Implement HR policies, performance management systems, and career development frameworks to support business objectives.
  • Ensure health, safety, and welfare regulations are complied with in line with factory and distillery operations.
  • Collaborate with plant leadership as a strategic partner to drive productivity and workforce efficiency.
  • Manage disciplinary processes, grievance handling, and conflict resolution with fairness and transparency.

Requirements:

  • Strong educational background in human resources or a related field.
  • At least 15 years of experience in HR management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Excellent knowledge of labor laws, industrial relations, and statutory compliance in the relevant industry.
