Salon Manager Job Description

Fashion TV is seeking a skilled Salon Manager to lead our team and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and Motivate Salon Staff: Foster a positive and productive work environment, ensuring exceptional customer service and staff satisfaction.
  • Develop and Execute Strategies: Create and implement plans to meet sales targets, maximize profitability, and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Oversee Inventory Management: Ensure accurate inventory levels, manage stock replenishment, and optimize supply chain efficiency.
  • Maintain a Clean and Organized Salon: Implement and maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and visual appeal.
  • Handle Customer Inquiries and Feedback: Respond promptly and professionally to customer concerns, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Recruit, Train, and Schedule Salon Personnel: Attract, develop, and schedule top talent to meet business needs.
  • Monitor and Analyze Financial Performance: Prepare budgets, track expenses, and implement cost-saving measures to ensure financial stability.
  • Stay Updated on Industry Trends: Research and recommend product or service enhancements to stay ahead of the competition.
  • Ensure Compliance with Health and Safety Regulations: Maintain a safe and healthy work environment, adhering to all applicable regulations.
  • Collaborate with Vendors and Suppliers: Build and maintain relationships with key partners to source high-quality products.
  • Conduct Performance Evaluations and Provide Coaching: Regularly assess staff performance, provide feedback, and support growth and development.
  • Coordinate Promotional Activities and Marketing Efforts: Develop and execute marketing plans to drive sales and brand awareness.
  • Manage Social Media and Online Presence: Maintain a strong online presence, engaging with customers and promoting the salon's brand.
  • Handle Administrative Tasks: Manage payroll, reporting, and record-keeping, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Resolve Operational Issues and Implement Process Improvements: Identify and address operational challenges, implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.Required Qualifications:
    • Proven Experience in Salon Management: A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of success.
    • Strong Leadership and Team-Building Skills: Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team.
    • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Abilities: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with staff, customers, and vendors.
    • Proficiency in Inventory Control and Budget Management: Experience with inventory management software and budgeting tools.
    • Knowledge of Cosmetology Services and Products: Familiarity with industry trends, products, and services.
    • Ability to Multitask and Prioritize: Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Sales and Marketing Experience: A proven track record of sales and marketing success, with the ability to develop and execute marketing plans.
    • Problem-Solving and Decision-Making Capabilities: Ability to analyze problems, identify solutions, and make informed decisions.
    • Familiarity with Industry Regulations and Safety Standards: Knowledge of applicable regulations and safety standards, with the ability to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
    • Certification in Cosmetology or Related Field: A plus, but not required.
    • Proficient in MS Office and Salon Management Software: Experience with industry-specific software and Microsoft Office.
    • Customer-Centric Mindset with a Passion for the Beauty Industry: A genuine passion for the beauty industry, with a customer-centric approach to business.
    • Organizational and Time Management Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize deadlines, and maintain a high level of productivity.
    • High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor's Degree a Plus: A minimum of a high school diploma, with a bachelor's degree preferred.
    • Ability to Work Flexible Hours: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed.
