About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Bid Development Manager to join our team at AtkinsRéalis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-profile projects and contribute to the success of our organization.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing bids through the win-work lifecycle and ensuring successful contract award with our clients. You will work closely with regional win work/technical leads and business development & engagement teams to produce compelling bids.

You will also contribute to the continuous improvement of the F+G's win-work capability, including people, processes, tools, information, and governance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure bid runs in accordance with bid best practice and win work capture plan and pursuit process, in compliance with Service Delivery Process.
  • Lead proposal development, strategy, and delivery for pursuits of $1 million or more, or deemed strategic.
  • Work with pursuit team to add project capture plan, benefits, solutions, and proof into proposal, delivering compliant, clear, and compelling proposals on time.
  • Track pursuits accurately through CRM system.
  • Follow AtkinsRéalis proposal development process and use consistent set of tools.
  • Plan, schedule, budget, outline, storyboard, develop text, manage proposal production.
  • Identify authors, section leaders, subject matter experts, and other support personnel to successfully develop proposal.
  • Coordinate communication between team developing proposal content.
  • Develop graphical content (organization charts, info graphics, photographs) with project team and graphics specialists.
  • Lead teams through strategic reviews (pink, red, green, gold).
  • Provide high-impact, compelling writing on sections of proposal and customize projects.
  • Research and interview staff to help write/translate complex concepts into narrative understandable by non-technical readers.
  • Enhance resumes and other text to be tailored to client/pursuit objectives.
  • Identify weaknesses in document and creative ways to improve.
  • Edit near-final draft.
  • Coordinate proposal information with any subconsultants.
  • Lead internal lessons learned debrief.
  • Attend and ensure project manager conduct client debrief and capture information.
  • Produce, package, and track proposal for delivery, ensuring proposal submission deadlines are always achieved.
  • Lead development of necessary presentations for proposals.
  • Ensure proposal closeout process is complete.
  • Function as capture manager to devise compelling win themes and strategy sessions.
  • Support work-sharing to balance workloads.
  • Lead group initiative focused on improving proposal management practices.
  • Mentor assigned pursuit staff, including technical staff, proposal coordinators, and content specialists.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A strong communicator with at least 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Able to evaluate, monitor, and present ideas and data.
  • Analytical with solid organizational skills, scheduling, and prioritizing activities.
  • A flexible but methodical approach to supporting bids.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and strong multi-tasking.
