Software Development Manager for Amazon DynamoDB
4 weeks ago
As a seasoned engineering manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of software developers in the development and management of Amazon DynamoDB, a NoSQL database service that supports mission-critical workloads. Your team will work on improving the performance and scalability of DynamoDB, with a focus on providing an in-memory caching service that makes reading data from DynamoDB even faster for our customers.

You will work closely with the product management team to understand customer needs and set the vision for the evolution of DynamoDB.
The DynamoDB Accelerator (DAX) team's charter is to provide an in-memory caching service that makes reading data from DynamoDB even faster for our customers, improving the already fast response times of DynamoDB up to ten times—from milliseconds to microseconds—even at millions of requests per second.
What You'll Do
- Lead a team of software developers in the development and management of Amazon DynamoDB
- Work closely with the product management team to understand customer needs and set the vision for the evolution of DynamoDB
- Manage the development of large-scale software systems, with a focus on improving performance and scalability

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and experience in leading engineering teams. If you are passionate about building scalable and high-performance systems, and have a strong desire to make a meaningful impact, this may be the perfect role for you.
