Job Description:

The International Trade Operations Manager oversees the entire logistics process, ensuring timely delivery of goods while mitigating risks associated with global trade. This role involves coordinating with various teams to manage inbound and outbound freights.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Document Preparation: Oversee accurate preparation and verification of necessary documentation, including bills of lading, certificates of origin, LC documentation, duty forms, duty exemption, etc.
  • Import/Export Operations: Manage end-to-end import/export operations, including coordination with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and carriers.
  • Cost-Saving Analysis: Analyze imports & export related port data to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize shipping methods.
  • Risk Assessment: Perform risk assessments (e.g., customs delays, trade disruptions) and enact contingency plans.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Keep updated on changes in international trade regulations and adapt procedures accordingly.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Oversee and maintain all necessary import/export licenses, certifications, and registrations.
  • Cost Management: Monitor and manage customs duties and tariff exposures; implement duty mitigation strategies.
  • Risk Management: Identify and manage risks associated with international trade, ensuring a secure and reliable import/export process.
  • Data Analysis: Ability to monitor trade trends, analyze data, and develop strategies for efficient import/export operations.
  • Collaboration: Coordinates with CHA (Customs House Agent) and shipping lines.
  • Documentation: Handles import documentation (Bill of Entry, LC, etc.).
  • Clearance and Compliance: Ensures timely clearance and compliance with DGFT and customs.
  • Regulatory Adherence: Ensures adherence to customs regulations and trade laws.
  • Operational Management: Manages booking, tracking, and cost negotiations.
  • Financial Compliance: Works with banks on Letters of Credit (LC), bank guarantees, and payment terms.
  • Financial Reporting: Ensures financial compliance in international transactions.
  • Compliance and Regulation: Ensure full compliance with trade regulations, customs protocols, and global shipping laws
  • Supply Chain Visibility: Monitor shipments closely to ensure timely delivery and resolve issues promptly.
  • Business Intelligence: Powers BI analysis, reporting, SAP knowledge, and MIS skills are essential for this role.
