Air Freight Coordinator Job

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with the finance team for customer payments and vendor payments, as well as outstanding communications.
  • Communicate with sales teams regarding new inquiries, customer details, and pricing negotiations.
  • Notify branches about new shipments, assist them with agent details, and aid in operations.
  • Send pre-arrival alerts to HCL, shipment arrival notifications, and DO releases.
  • Inform local customers about their shipment status and arrivals, send CANs and invoice copies.
  • Clear customs for both inbound and outbound shipments with outsourced clearing agents, arrange necessary documents, etc.
  • Status updates on shipments, departure times, and timely arrivals to O/s agents, requesting invoices.

Job Requirements:

  • Operational knowledge of air export import processes, good rapport with airlines and airport authorities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written English, knowledge of Incoterms.
  • Ability to work independently, use initiative, and possess market knowledge, especially within air freight.
  • Negotiation skills, good software skills (Ms-excel).
