Job Title: Data Governance Specialist

    The organization seeks a seasoned data governance specialist to spearhead strategic initiatives ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive data privacy programs, adhering to global regulations (GDPR, PDPB/DPDP Act, HIPAA, CCPA).
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and implement control measures to mitigate potential threats.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement robust data protection policies and procedures.
  • Provide expert guidance on data subject rights, consent management, and data transfer mechanisms.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive training programs for employees on data privacy and protection best practices.
  • Prepare detailed reports for senior management and stakeholders on compliance gaps and remediation strategies.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in data governance, information security, or compliance.
  • Thorough knowledge of data privacy laws and regulations (GDPR, DPDP Act, HIPAA, CCPA).
  • Hands-on experience with data governance frameworks, ISO 27701, ISO 27001, and other relevant standards.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects, lead teams, and deliver results within tight deadlines.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Certifications:

  • CIPT / CIPP-E / CISM / CISA or equivalent data governance certifications.
  • ISO 27701 Implementer / Lead Auditor certification is highly desirable.
