Technical Support Specialist Role

About the Position:

This role focuses on providing high-quality technical assistance to internal and external clients.

  • Assist users in resolving various technical issues, primarily concerning web-based applications and mobile interfaces.
  • Communicate effectively with development teams, both locally and internationally, regarding customer feedback and product enhancements.
  • Support Quality Assurance (QA) activities in conjunction with the QA lead.
  • Troubleshoot problems efficiently, often requiring minimal support from the development team.
  • Engage in prompt communication with customers to identify and resolve their concerns.
  • Offer temporary solutions to customers until a more permanent fix is implemented.
  • Provide timely and accurate feedback to customers regarding product functionality.
  • Follow up with clients to ensure issue resolution.
  • Contribute to the deployment of new applications and services.
  • Develop procedural documentation to aid in problem-solving.
  • Manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Evaluate and test new software releases.
  • Propose innovative solutions to streamline operational processes.

Requirements:

For this position, we require candidates with a degree in computer science or information technology. The ideal candidate will have experience working during US hours (9 am to 6 pm central time). Prior involvement in tech support for web-based business applications, including mobile interfaces, is essential. A strong understanding of Linux, Java, JavaScript (React), MySQL, and AWS is also necessary. Proficiency in browser-based debugging, JSON format, REST APIs, database queries, and logs is required. Experience with remote desktop applications and help desk software is beneficial. Knowledge of ticket management tools such as Clickup, Jira, Trello is desirable. Additionally, familiarity with texting and communication-based applications would be advantageous. Certifications in Linux, Java, Web development, and AWS are welcome but not mandatory. Experience with AI-powered tools for daily tasks is an added bonus. An analytical mindset and ability to quickly adapt into a developer role with minimal training are highly valued. Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, excellent interpersonal abilities, and effective written and verbal communication skills are necessary for success in this role.
