A highly skilled professional is required to drive revenue growth and identify new business opportunities in a B2B context. This role involves market research, lead generation, sales strategy development, and collaboration with various internal teams to ensure seamless implementation of solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Market Research and Opportunity Identification: Conducting market research to identify potential clients, market segments, and growth opportunities. Analyzing industry trends, competitor activities, and market gaps to inform business development strategies. Utilizing data analytics tools to identify potential areas for growth and assess market entry strategies.
2. Lead Generation and Qualification: Generating leads through various channels, including networking, outbound outreach (cold calling, email marketing), and marketing collaborations. Qualifying leads to determine their potential and suitability for the business. Setting up meetings with prospects to understand their needs and present relevant solutions.
3. Client Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with new and existing clients. Understanding client requirements and customizing solutions to meet their needs. Acting as the primary point of contact for clients and addressing their inquiries and concerns.
4. Sales Strategy and Execution: Developing and presenting customized business proposals and pitch decks. Leading or supporting negotiations and closing strategic deals. Collaborating with sales, marketing, and product teams to align outreach strategies. Meeting or exceeding monthly and quarterly business development targets.
5. Reporting and Analysis: Maintaining detailed records of lead interactions and progress using CRM tools. Preparing reports on sales activities, performance, and market trends. Participating in review meetings to discuss progress and identify areas for improvement.
6. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless implementation of solutions. Communicating effectively with stakeholders, both internally and externally. Representing the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
7. Other Responsibilities: Keeping abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions. Ensuring compliance with legal and corporate guidelines related to sales contracts and agreements. Contributing to the development of sales strategies and promotional activities. Providing feedback from clients to internal teams to shape product development and improve customer satisfaction.
A degree in any field, such as B.Com or MBA/PGDM, is preferred. The candidate must have a minimum of fresher experience. A Business Development Manager - B2B position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with analytical and problem-solving abilities. They should be able to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
