Job Overview:

Chef Tournant is a highly skilled culinary leader responsible for overseeing kitchen operations and team management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and supervise senior chefs, providing coaching, support, and evaluations to ensure high culinary standards and consistency in food quality and taste.
  • Prepare menus, assign tasks, and delegate duties effectively to optimize production efficiency and maintain immaculate recipe folders.
  • Oversee main kitchen sections, including Sauce, Entremetier, Fish, Roast, Outlet CDP, Tournant, and Cold Kitchen, ensuring seamless coordination and workflow.
  • Implement cost control measures and improve production efficiency through data-driven decision-making.
  • Coordinate deliveries, manage inventory, and maintain compliance with Public Health regulations to ensure a clean work environment.
  • Participate in ship inspections and follow company rules and regulations.

Qualifications and Education:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in upscale hospitality, preferably on a cruise ship, with a strong culinary school degree.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service, teamwork, conflict resolution, and management abilities.
  • Proficient in computer software and basic accounting principles.
