
Head of Strategic Acquisitions and Partnerships

This position offers the opportunity to shape the company's inorganic growth strategy, identifying and executing mergers & acquisitions (M&A) and joint ventures (JVs) that drive long-term business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive M&A strategy, aligning with business objectives and driving sustainable growth.
- Proactively identify and evaluate M&A, JV, or partnership opportunities, assessing their potential impact on technological capability, market access, and operational leverage.
- Foster strong relationships with investment banks, consultants, legal advisors, and target companies, ensuring seamless collaboration throughout the transaction process.
- Lead cross-functional due diligence teams, managing financial modeling, commercial due diligence, business case development, and integration planning.
- Evaluate strategic fit, cultural alignment, and integration complexity of potential targets, developing tailored mitigation strategies as needed.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to structure deals, including asset/share purchase agreements, JVs, and carve-outs.
- Manage synergy analysis, identifying key areas for cost reduction, technology enhancement, and customer base optimization.
- Drive negotiations on price, structure, governance, and definitive agreements, ensuring alignment with internal governance processes and securing necessary approvals.
- Oversee integration planning, aligning operating models, systems, supply chain, and human capital to deliver expected value from acquisitions.
- Monitor synergy realization and integration KPIs, tracking progress and making adjustments as needed.
- Stay up-to-date on global auto-component trends, EV adoption, regulatory shifts, and competitor strategies, providing informed guidance to leadership.
- Advise on inorganic growth opportunities in India and international markets, leveraging expertise in M&A, corporate development, and investment banking.
Requirements:
- MBA/PGDM from a top-tier institution; engineering background preferred.
- 15+ years of experience, with at least 5–7 years in M&A, corporate development, or investment banking in manufacturing/automotive.
- Strong track record of executing cross-border deals, especially in auto or allied sectors.
- Deep understanding of financial valuation, transaction structuring, and integration planning.
