Payroll Specialist Job Overview

The role of a Payroll Specialist is critical in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of payroll processing for any organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing, including collecting timesheet data and payroll information.
  • Enter data into payroll and administrative databases and software programs efficiently.
  • Calculate wages, benefits, tax deductions, and commissions with precision.
  • Prepare and process paychecks and cash deposits as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions.
  • Respond to payroll-related inquiries and resolve concerns promptly.
  • Perform payroll reconciliations effectively.
  • Prepare financial reports for accounting and auditing purposes accurately.
  • Pay taxes and prepare forms as per government regulations.
  • Termination payments calculation with Annual Leave, Long Service Leave, and Redundancy payment.
  • e-TDS filing and form no.16.
  • Prepare periodic payroll reports for review by Team leader.
  • Manage client queries over a call and email.
  • Coordinate year-end activities efficiently.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 4-6 years of experience with a bachelor's or master's degree in business or a related field, or an MBA.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral & written).

Desired Competencies:

  • Documentation and excel skills.
  • Proficiency with payroll software.
  • Reliability and honesty.
  • Ability to work based on shift timings.
  • Multi-country payroll and taxation knowledge.
