Job Title: Payroll and Compliance Specialist

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR Operations, payroll management, and compliance, with experience working in the Asia Pacific region.

About the Role:

  • Manage HR systems from hire to retire data management, identifying opportunities to improve process efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Oversee accurate and timely processing of employee payroll, including salaries, wages, deductions, and benefits for Asia Pacific countries.
  • Co-ordinate with payroll vendors on system enhancement and validate full and final settlements for resigned employees.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable payroll laws and regulations, including tax regulations, labour laws, and company policies.
  • Co-ordinate with inter-departments to address and resolve compliance-related discrepancies.
  • Manage vendors to ensure services are delivered as per agreed Service Level Agreements and timeline, optimizing cost and minimizing risk.
  • Proactively ensure optimal utilization of available resources to support Business As Usual and Global HR projects.
  • Address and resolve employee payroll queries and issues promptly and accurately.

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in human resources or business administration.
  • 15 to 20 years of experience in HR, with a focus on HR Operations, payroll, and compliance.
  • Handled a team of 5 to 10 people for 5+ years in previous roles.
  • Proficiency in HRM systems such as Workday/Oracle.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels within the organization, locally and globally.
  • Experience in a global (matrix) organization preferred.
  • Effective collaboration skills and ability to influence stakeholders and vendors.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
