Technical Support Specialist Role:

The role of a technical support specialist involves providing technical assistance for various aspects of the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS). This includes user access, system integration, troubleshooting, performance, and hardware functionality. The specialist must also manage daily IT operations of PACS, such as resolving errors, security alert reviews, and physical inspection of hardware and inventory.

To ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, the Technical Support Specialist will work with compliance teams to adhere to GxP, GDPR, NIS2, and other regulatory requirements, including change management and implementation processes. Additionally, they will be responsible for ensuring PACS compliance with security standards, data protection regulations, and organizational access policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing technical support for user access, system integration, and hardware functionality
  • Managing daily IT operations, including error resolution, security alert reviews, and hardware inspections
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, including GxP, GDPR, NIS2, and other regulations
  • Coordinating with compliance teams on change management and implementation processes
  • Maintaining PACS security standards, data protection regulations, and organizational access policies

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Strong technical background in IT infrastructure, including databases, networking, and server management, is essential. Experience in WinOS administration, basic networking, SSL, Azure, Active Directory, and databases (SQL) is also necessary. Furthermore, knowledge of ITIL frameworks, including Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes, is required. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including verbal and written communication, are also crucial for success in this role.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, along with 10+ years of relevant experience, is required. Strong technical skills, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced IT environment make for an ideal candidate.
