About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned leader to join our team as a Senior Engineering Manager. As a key member of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in driving innovation and growth.


Job Description

In this exciting opportunity, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating activities with global technical leadership teams. Your primary focus will be on developing both hardware and software products for our global product group. This includes value engineering, employee career growth, and talent development.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Building an inclusive and motivating environment for employees within the organization.
  • Developing and implementing strategies for talent development and aligning the vision of the global product group.
  • Identifying and implementing plans for technical competency development.
  • Attracting, developing, appraising, and retaining qualified and skilled staff.
  • Motivating and empowering the team.
  • Actively participating in and implementing the group-level resource planning process.
  • Steering the Engineering and development team to ensure delivery of projects/products to time and budget.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Engineering Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leveraging your expertise to drive business growth and improvement.
  • Developing and managing budgets to fund yearly operations and infrastructure development.
  • Ensuring projects/programs are well-defined, prioritized, tracked, and communicated in a consistent and effective manner.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science; an MBA is preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of industry experience in Engineering, Research Development, or Product Management.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix environment within a complex global organization.
  • Demonstrated Change Leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence experienced leaders in different functions.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to flex working hours to accommodate global time differences.

About You

You will deliver messages clearly, compellingly, and concisely. You will tackle difficult issues with optimism and confidence, viewing talent development as an organizational imperative.


Preferred Qualifications

Experience leading and executing engineering project teams that developed new products would be beneficial. Additionally, knowledge and experience of New Product Development staged gate processes, Agile Product Development, and Stage-gated development processes would be advantageous.
