Overview:

The position of Senior Director of Elite Athlete Development is a critical leadership role within the organization. This individual will be responsible for creating and implementing a comprehensive talent development pathway, designed to identify, recruit, and nurture elite athletes in various sports.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in performance sport, with experience in talent development and pathway management. They will possess excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, as well as the ability to lead complex programs and manage budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute a structured talent development pathway from identification to confirmation.
  • Develop and implement sport-specific benchmarking and profiling systems.
  • Manage annual talent identification programs, including testing and profiling.
  • Oversee program design and delivery, ensuring effective marketing and scheduling of creative campaigns.

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Proven leadership in talent development and pathway management.
  • 5–8 years' experience in performance sport.
  • Deep understanding of athlete development science and transition needs.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and program management skills.

Desirable:

  • Coaching qualifications in a relevant sport.
  • Understanding of India's high-performance sports ecosystem.
  • Previous involvement with national/international federations.

Additional Requirements:

  • Flexibility to travel and work irregular hours.
  • Ability to travel domestically.
