About the Role

The primary goal of this position is to maintain a seamless operation by continuously analyzing and optimizing food production quality and cost.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Effectively manage time, prioritize tasks, and ensure compliance with established standards.
  • Provide ongoing training and coaching to team members to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Evaluate and implement processes to ensure safe, quality food products and exceptional guest satisfaction.
  • Develop and enforce policies, procedures, and objectives set by senior management.
  • Work in a technical area of expertise to improve service quality and product offerings.
  • Maintain a positive, helpful attitude and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
  • Embrace direction and authority when necessary and work within agreed parameters.
  • Foster high morale among team members, promote fair treatment, and provide opportunities for growth and development.
  • Ensure adherence to menus, recipes, methods, and operational specifics.
  • Seek guidance and support when needed and strive for efficient goal achievement.
  • Conduct regular food tastings and address discrepancies promptly.
  • Assist Section Heads in preparing electronic requisitions and monitor production levels using the Culinary Checklist.
  • Guarantee Public Health regulations are followed at all times.
Qualifications
  • Advanced culinary skills, leadership experience, and a strong track record of success.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in the culinary industry (Quality Hotels and Restaurants).
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a management role in a well-established luxury hospitality establishment or upscale cruise line.
  • Fluent written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Effective communication with senior management and team members.
  • Ability to lead, make decisions, and drive results.
  • Strong administrative skills, including organizational and planning abilities.
  • Experience in coaching and developing team members.
  • Cost consciousness and a focus on quality.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with international team members.
  • Capability to perform duties under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Cruise Ship Experience/5 star Hotel Operations
  • Fluency in additional languages
