Job Title: Land Acquisition Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our land acquisition efforts.

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 7 to 12 years of experience in land acquisition and management, with at least 5 years dedicated to this field.

Candidates from the cement industry are preferred but not required. Experience in thermal, coal mining, and other infrastructure sectors involving large-scale land acquisition is also valued.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and oversee land acquisition across multiple sites, collaborating with regional teams.
  • Develop expertise in private land acquisition, government land allotment, forest land acquisition, and private land acquisition via LARR.
  • Assist in resolving land-related issues at various sites, including litigation related to title, encroachments, ceiling limits, and NA.
  • Prepare periodic MIS reports to track acquisition progress and issue resolution.
  • Familiarity with revenue documentation and knowledge of Google Earth, KMZ.
  • Collate and verify title search documents with support from the legal team.
  • Manage stakeholders, including land aggregators, regional land teams, business development teams, legal teams, project teams, and finance teams, regarding land acquisition progress and issue resolution.
  • Support regional teams in mutation, collecting original sale deeds, coordinating with finance teams for fund release, and CAPEX budgeting.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor acquisition progress and support issue resolution at regional land acquisition sites.
  • Coordinate with land aggregators and regional land teams for private land acquisition as per business requirements.
  • Report directly to the head of land acquisition for cement business.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Thorough understanding of land acquisition processes and regulations.
  • Knowledge of land laws and familiarity with revenue documentation.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word, with excellent stakeholder management skills.
