Global Supply Chain Coordinator Job Description

The Global Supply Chain Coordinator will be responsible for managing the import process from factory stuffing to delivery of goods to customers. They will oversee export document preparation, insurance certification, and hazardous cargo management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review export documents including export invoices, packing lists, BL drafts, and other related documents.
  • Generate insurance certificates through online portals and ensure sufficient insured amounts are maintained.
  • Manage hazardous cargo by understanding Haz Class, Packing Groups, and preparing dangerous goods declarations.
  • Cordinate with factories, CHAs, forwarding agents, transporters, shipping lines, and customers for smooth execution of import operations.
  • Negotiate air or sea freight with forwarders, shipping lines, or CHAs.
  • Check and approve SB checklists/BOE checklists/AWB drafts/BL drafts etc.
  • Cordinate with freight forwarders for flight/vessel booking.
  • Arrange courier shipments through DHL/FedEx.
  • Ensure compliance with SCOMET and narcotics requirements for every shipment.
  • Resolve queries from export customers promptly and efficiently.
  • Arrange transport for FCL shipments and factory stuffing.
  • Apply for preferential & non-preferential COOs online.
  • Manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
  • Send final shipment documents to customers and track cargo till delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records for all export shipments including EGM and RODTEP benefit status.
  • Stay updated on changes in import/export regulations and company policies.

Requirements:

  • Graduation degree.
  • 3+ years experience in chemical industry preferably.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
