Job Title: SQL Developer

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented professional to join our dynamic team. As a SQL Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining databases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Database Design and Development:
    • Design, implement, and document database schemas, tables, relationships, constraints, and indexes.
    • Create and maintain stored procedures, functions, and triggers based on business and technical requirements.
    • Collaborate with developers and analysts to ensure the database structure supports application requirements and business rules.
  • Database Optimization:
    • Optimize and fine-tune SQL queries for performance and scalability.
    • Conduct regular maintenance tasks such as indexing, statistics updates, and database cleanup.
    • Monitor server resource usage and proactively resolve performance bottlenecks.
    • Apply best practices to ensure efficient and high-performing database systems.
    • Conduct code reviews for SQL scripts, stored procedures, and database changes to ensure best practices are followed.
  • Troubleshooting and Support:
    • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues quickly and effectively.
    • Ensure data security, accuracy, and integrity across environments.
    • Implement and maintain appropriate error handling and logging mechanisms.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with application development teams to embed efficient and scalable database logic.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
    • Develop custom reports and queries to support business intelligence and operational needs.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 4 years of experience in SQL Server, proficiency in SQL database design, writing complex queries, and effective communication abilities. Strong expertise in SQL Server and T-SQL PL-SQL scripting is required, along with skills in designing and optimizing complex queries and stored procedures, knowledge of Azure SQL and cloud-based database environments, familiarity with version control systems such as Azure DevOps and Git, understanding of NoSQL databases, SSRS, ETL Tools, Power BI (plus), and effective interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills.
