Database Expert Wanted

We are looking for an experienced Database and ETL specialist to join our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database engineering, data warehousing, and testing methodologies.

About the Role
  • This is a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity with the possibility of extension or conversion to a full-time position.
  • The successful candidate will work on designing, developing, and testing ETL processes using various technologies such as SSIS, AWS services, and RDBMS.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and test ETL processes using SSIS, AWS services, and RDBMS.
  • Develop and maintain databases, data warehouses, and data pipelines.
  • Perform thorough testing of ETL processes, including unit testing, integration testing, and regression testing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and develop solutions.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot issues with ETL processes and databases.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in ETL testing, database testing, and manual testing.
  • Strong understanding of ETL concepts, data warehouse testing methodologies, and monitoring scripts.
  • Proficiency in RDBMS (MySQL, Oracle SQL), UNIX commands (grep, awk, find), and AWS services (CloudWatch, EventBridge, QuickSight, Batch Jobs, Lambda, S3, Redshift, Glue).
  • Advanced SQL skills, including joins, group functions, analytical functions, and subqueries.
  • Experience in system integration and functional testing across sprints/iterations.
  • Able to create, review, and execute detailed test cases based on business and technical requirements.
Nice to Have
  • Experience automating data testing using AI/ML tools.
  • CI/CD pipeline integration for test automation.
