Job Title: Database Administrator

We are seeking an innovative and experienced MySQL database administrator to assist in developing and creating cutting-edge solutions for the healthcare industry.

This role ensures that the business is well-coordinated and productive by managing processes and coaching staff. The successful candidate will participate in daily operations, optimize database performance, collaborate with management on performance goals and long-term operational plans, and work closely with technology team members, external partners, and vendors.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in daily operations to support the business.

  • Work closely with technology team members, external partners, and vendors.
  • Monitor day-to-day operational systems and processes to provide visibility into goals, progress, and obstacles.
  • Maintain relationships with technology team members, external partners, and vendors to provide input on operational activity and strategic goals.
  • Perform technical troubleshooting to diagnose, isolate, and correct data and database issues.

Requirements:

  • 4 years of MySQL management experience.
  • Experience in configuring high-availability and clustering solutions.
  • Large-scale MySQL deployments.
  • MySQL sharding architecture and techniques.
  • Ability to work in a Linux/Unix-based environment.
  • MS SQL experience is an asset.
  • Software as a service industry experience is an asset.
  • Cloud experience is an asset.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and professional skills.
  • Proven ability to plan and manage operational processes for maximum efficiency and productivity.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems and anticipate customer needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, set, and implement priorities and manage multiple tasks.
