Role Summary

As a seasoned product development specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the brand's product lifecycle. With a keen eye for Indian ethnic wear, you will oversee the entire product journey from conceptualization to delivery.

The Product Development Manager Role

We seek an experienced product development manager with 4-5 years of proven experience in a similar role. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of market trends, vendor management, pricing strategy, and a passion for our brand's aesthetic.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify upcoming fashion trends, color palettes, and seasonal demands within the Indian ethnic wear segment.
  • Collaborate with design and production teams to develop and plan new collections that align with the brand's vision and target customer.
  • Oversee the entire product development process, including fabric sourcing, trim selection, and sample coordination, ensuring all materials meet quality standards.
  • Analyze sales data and inventory levels to forecast future demand, plan production schedules, and ensure optimal stock availability.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, manufacturers, and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective production.
  • Assist in developing pricing strategies that balance market competitiveness with profitability.
  • Work closely with the production team to monitor the quality of garments throughout the manufacturing process, from raw material to final product.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.
  • 4-5 years of experience as a product development manager, with significant exposure to Indian ethnic wear.
  • Ability to manage embroiders (karigars), tailors, and stitching masters.
  • Strong understanding of fabrics, garment construction, and production processes.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and proficiency in using merchandising software.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Creative and strategic mindset with a passion for ethnic fashion.
