The Strategic Product Development Manager is responsible for driving the downstream marketing of Neuroscience portfolio across India. This specialist conceives marketing initiatives and collaborates with regional sales teams to ensure their execution. The individual supports market development initiatives and provides exposure to the pan-Indian healthcare setup, working closely with marketers globally.

A Day in the Life
  • Develop comprehensive marketing plans, including competitive strategies, pricing, sales and revenue forecasts, inventory management, and brand communication initiatives. Support the marketing strategy by setting budgets, goals, and metrics.
  • Partner with global leads to develop local marketing strategies and strategic plans for the region.
  • Coordinate inventory planning, quarterly and yearly forecasts, and minimize obsolescence.
  • Conduct primary and secondary research, obtain market intelligence on competitive pricing and product positioning.
  • Develop, implement, and execute marketing strategies for new product launches, including clinical messaging, physician engagement, effective pricing, and sales engagement.
  • Coordinate patient-centric initiatives, such as digital advertising, mass media publications, and strategies for awareness and therapy adoption.
  • Develop and execute strategic launch plans and set 3-5 year growth targets.
  • Foster positive relationships with key opinion leaders, industry luminaries, and partners to support therapy acceptance, expansion, and safe use of Medtronic CRM products.
  • Collaborate with various internal stakeholders across legal, regulatory, clinical, PR, and R&D to drive alignment and smooth execution of marketing strategies.
  • Spending significant time on the field with sales personnel and customers to understand their perspectives and ideas. Stay at the forefront of changing market dynamics and customer needs and preferences, representing the customer during internal meetings and the company at advisory boards and medical congresses.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA Full Time mandatory.
  • Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree with 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Comfortable with handling data, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
  • Comfortable delivering presentations to large audiences in both online and offline formats.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Self-starter with a proven track record of delivering business results through meticulous planning and execution.
  • Customer-centricity, team orientation, and prioritization are critical for this role's success.
