Effective patent research and analysis require a unique blend of technical expertise, client-facing skills, and strategic vision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead complex patent projects involving invalidation, freedom-to-operate searches, and patentability assessments to deliver impactful insights for clients.
  • Conduct in-depth technology landscape analysis, competitor monitoring, and white space exploration to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Develop and present actionable patent reports that inform strategic business decisions, driving innovation and competitiveness.
  • Collaborate closely with global clients to define project scope, objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Evaluate patent portfolios for comprehensive legal, technical, and commercial insights, providing data-driven recommendations for optimization.
  • Oversee and mentor a high-performing team of 8–10 IP professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, quality, and productivity.
  • Build strong relationships with clients through exceptional communication, proactive engagement, and tailored support for business development initiatives.
  • Drive the implementation of best practices, process improvements, and knowledge-sharing strategies across the organization.
Requirements
  • 6–10 years of experience in patent research and analytics, with a proven track record of delivering high-impact results.
  • Leadership experience, managing teams of 3–5+ members, with a focus on talent development and performance enhancement.
  • Hands-on experience handling complex client calls independently, with excellent analytical, scientific, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in patent search tools, such as Derwent Innovation, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong scientific aptitude, combined with a solid understanding of mechanical, automobile, electronics, electrical, or industrial production disciplines.
