Senior Manager IP Job Description

We are partnering with a global leader in pharmaceuticals to identify Senior Manager Intellectual Property.

  • Develop and manage the growing intellectual property portfolio of the company, driving strategic growth and optimization.
  • Enforce intellectual property processes to ensure optimal protection, leveraging expertise to safeguard the company's assets.
  • Collaborate closely with Global IP Head, Research and Development, and Portfolio teams to drive innovation and success.
  • Identify products to be introduced into the development pipeline, aligning with business objectives and goals.
  • Develop and manage effective product development strategies for the portfolio, focusing on value creation and market competitiveness.
  • Monitor and evaluate third-party scientific and patent publications, staying abreast of industry trends and advancements.
  • Provide intellectual property-related inputs for legal agreements and negotiations, ensuring seamless collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Partner with other legal and business functions to provide strategic advice, driving informed decision-making and business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage patent, trademark, copyright, and related issues, protecting the company's intellectual property and brand integrity.
Requirements:
  • PhD or Post-graduate degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Sciences, or Pharmaceutical Sciences.
  • 13+ years of experience in a reputable global pharmaceutical company, demonstrating leadership and expertise in intellectual property management.
  • Proven track record of experience in product IP clearances, patent drafting, and prosecution, showcasing strong technical skills and knowledge.
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and team-player capable of working in a deadline-dictated environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
