Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Category Manager to own and scale key product categories.

This is a highly analytical and business-driven role that involves building, growing, and optimizing category performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Category Strategy: Define and execute category strategy for non-apparel verticals such as footwear, bags, watches, beauty, or other lifestyle categories.
  • Growth Opportunities: Identify growth opportunities, market gaps, and consumer trends to build differentiated product offerings.
  • P&L Ownership: Own the P&L for the category – sales, margins, inventory, and marketing spends.
  • Product Assortment: Plan product assortment in line with consumer demand, seasonality, and market trends.
  • Campaigns and Promotions: Work with merchandising and marketing teams to design campaigns, promotions, and seasonal collections.
  • Profitability Optimization: Optimize pricing, discounting, and promotions to drive profitability and conversion.
  • Vendor Relationships: Build and manage strong vendor/brand relationships to negotiate terms, pricing, and supply commitments.
  • New Brand Onboarding: Onboard new brands and products aligned with category strategy.
  • Seamless Vendor Operations: Ensure seamless vendor operations – from procurement to fulfillment.
  • Supply Chain Collaboration: Collaborate with supply chain, inventory, and logistics teams to ensure product availability and timely delivery.
  • Sales and Stock Monitoring: Monitor daily sales, stock levels, and category performance metrics; take corrective actions when required.
  • Competitive Analysis: Conduct regular competitive analysis to benchmark pricing, product assortment, and category trends.
  • Marketing Partnerships: Work closely with marketing to execute category campaigns and promotions.
  • Product Enhancements: Partner with product & tech teams to enhance category visibility, navigation, and consumer journey.
  • Financial Insights: Provide inputs to finance on budgets, forecasting, and ROI measurement.
