Job Title: Zone Business Manager

A key managerial role in the organization, Zonal Business Manager, revolves around strategic leadership, team management, and achieving business objectives within a defined geographic area.

The core responsibilities of this role encompass the following key areas:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic business plans for designated zones, setting goals, objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
  • Team Management: Oversee a team of Area or Regional Managers and other staff, including hiring, training, coaching, mentoring, setting performance targets, and conducting regular performance reviews.
  • Sales and Revenue Growth: Drive sales and revenue growth within assigned zones, working with teams to develop and execute sales strategies, monitor performance, and make necessary adjustments to achieve or exceed sales targets.
  • Market Analysis: Analyze market conditions, trends, and competition within zones to identify opportunities and threats, informing business decisions and adjusting strategies accordingly.

This role also involves Budget Management, ensuring financial objectives are met, managing budgets, controlling costs, and monitoring compliance with company policies and regulations. Additionally, building and maintaining relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders within designated zones is essential, as is effective communication with senior management, other departments, and teams.

To excel in this role, candidates should possess excellent communication skills, strong analytical abilities, and demonstrated leadership qualities, including team management, coaching, and mentoring. Familiarity with industry trends and competitive landscapes is also valuable, as is the ability to travel to various locations within assigned areas.

This position requires strong teamwork and collaboration skills, adaptability to changing market conditions, and resilience in the face of challenges. The ideal candidate will be able to build and maintain positive relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders within the zone.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business, management, marketing, commerce, or a related discipline. A minimum of 5-7 years of experience is required, with at least 4 years in retail chains. Proficiency in English and local languages is necessary, and knowledge of industry dynamics, trends, and customer behavior is highly valued.
