Strategic Defense Sales Director

Achieve business success in the Defense segment by effectively translating the company strategy into cohesive Branch Plans. Lead and motivate the Defense Sales team to enhance performance standards and serve as a valuable resource to the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the creation of effective distribution strategies for Officer Param and LA as per yearly goal sheets.
  • Maintain a minimum Month-on-Month Target Vs Achievement ratio of 100%.
  • Ensure the complete SM module is facilitated and maintained at all times.
  • Align at least 50% of the total SM force for promotion and career development by the end of the year.
  • Optimize cost efficiency in all aspects, with a specific focus on Officer Param and SM hiring.

Business Results:

  • Ensure alignment of business volume with the spread of the cantonment and SM module, maintaining a SM Man-month productivity of Rs 2 Lakhs APE.
  • Monitor and evaluate sales achievements against expectations for each sales manager.
  • Achieve a Defense contribution of 90% of the overall NOP target YTD.
  • Conduct a minimum of 4 sales seminar presentations in the cantonment/unit per month.
  • Effectively utilize different training modules and selling skills programs for both SM and distributor forces in alignment with the training team.

Customer Relationship Management- External:

  • Network and build relationships with defense establishments/cantonments.
  • Review the sales process followed and the quality of sales advice and after-sales engagement.

Qualifications:

Graduate/Postgraduate - MBA, Sales and Marketing (preferred)

Experience:

  • AUH - 4-5 years of experience in the insurance industry, preferably from a defense background, with experience leading a team of result-oriented sales managers.
  • UH - 7-14 years of experience in the insurance industry, preferably from a defense background, with experience leading a team of result-oriented sales managers.

Preference of Industry background:

1. Insurance/Financial sales experience + Defense experience

2. Sales Background, any industry + Defense experience

3. Defense Ex-servicemen

4. Insurance Sales + history of adaptability to new business avenues

5. Pure Defense family background (Current Serving personnel)
