The ideal candidate for the Sales Manager position at Staffing Solutions will be responsible for driving sales and expanding market presence for fertilizer products within the assigned region.

This role requires a seasoned professional with experience in fertilizer sales or category management at a zonal or national level, with excellent industry connections and a strong background in product management and target achievement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies for the fertilizer category to meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Identify and establish new market opportunities within the region, ensuring robust sales growth.
  • Monitor and manage sales performance to align with company goals, adjusting strategies as needed.

Category & Product Management:

  • Manage the fertilizer product category, ensuring product availability, competitive pricing, and strategic positioning.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activity to maintain a competitive edge and improve category performance.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop promotional plans and optimize product visibility.

Relationship Building and Industry Networking:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and industry stakeholders.
  • Leverage industry connections to expand the client base and drive new sales opportunities.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and exhibitions to stay updated on market trends and expand professional networks.

Vendor Management and Negotiation:

  • Oversee vendor relationships and negotiate favorable terms to ensure product quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Coordinate with suppliers for timely product procurement, minimizing supply chain disruptions.

Market Research and Reporting:

  • Conduct regular market research to understand customer needs, preferences, and regional demand patterns.
  • Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and budget plans to senior management, providing insights and recommendations.

Team Collaboration and Coordination:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including logistics, finance, and marketing, to streamline sales processes and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Support and mentor junior sales team members, fostering a positive and results-driven environment.

Key Requirements:

  • Education: B.Sc/M.Sc. in Agriculture, with an MBA preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in fertilizer sales or category management at a zonal or national level.

  • Proven ability to manage product categories, achieve targets, and drive sales growth.
