Microfinance Business Developer

Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Microfinance Business Developer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the achievement of disbursement targets with minimum delinquency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify Joint Liability Groups (JLGs) disbursed loans to suit target customers and geographies, ensuring optimal portfolio growth.
  • Develop and manage teams across assigned territories to drive deeper market penetration and reach.
  • Assess potential client base and product acceptability in new regions, identifying opportunities for geographical expansion.
  • Disburse, repay, and manage delinquency, achieving daily/weekly collections targets and maintaining a strong portfolio quality.
  • Monitor loan performance closely, particularly for non-performing loans, and take corrective action as necessary.
  • Undertake regular field visits and meetings with centre managers and loan applicants to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain high portfolio quality by tracking normal dues, non-starters, delinquency, and frauds.

To succeed in this role, you will require a basic understanding of microfinance business and JLG models, as well as strong relationship management and sales skills. You should have a flair for sales and be able to understand critical attributes of customer service.

Requirements:
  • Education: Graduate in any discipline.
  • Experience: Fresher to maximum 5 years of experience as a sales officer in microfinance business.
