Technical Program Manager

About the Job:

We are seeking a results-driven Technical Program Manager to drive cross-functional initiatives, leveraging strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.

This role will be responsible for understanding our business objectives, initiating various programs, measuring progress, risk management, and successful delivery.

Roles And Responsibilities:
  • Program Management:
    • Initiate programs, drive delivery to completion, and provide support when issues arise.
    • Manage program scope, timelines, and resources to ensure smooth deployments and execution of go-to-market (GTM) plans.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Possess a strong grasp of technical concepts to effectively engage with engineering teams.
    • Understand High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs), ask the right questions, and facilitate informed discussions.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership:
    • Foster collaboration and alignment between cross-functional teams, promoting a culture of communication and understanding.
    • Serve as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating technical jargon and communicating progress effectively.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify and mitigate potential technical risks that could impact program success.
    • Develop contingency plans and ensure the program remains resilient in the face of challenges.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Communicate program status, risks, and issues to stakeholders, including executive leadership, and seek their support when needed.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Track key program metrics, create dashboards and visualizations, and generate reports to monitor progress and measure success.
  • Process Improvement & Quarterly Planning:
    • Own and manage the end-to-end quarterly planning cycle, including:
    • Collaborating with Product to gather concept notes or PRDs.
    • Working with Design to obtain wireframes or sketches.
    • Coordinating with Engineering to conduct grooming sessions, capacity planning, and finalize the feature list for the upcoming quarter.
    • Lead communication and alignment across stakeholders (Product, Business, Design, and Engineering) to ensure clarity, transparency, and accountability.
    • Run bi-weekly tracking and check-ins to monitor progress against the plan, identify blockers, and ensure timely delivery of milestones.
    • Continuously identify areas for process improvement, with a mindset of simplifying workflows and maximizing team efficiency.
    • Ensure all documentation and deliverables are up to date, structured, and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 2+ years of industry experience in program management.
  • Experience working in a highly cross-functional environment where communication with multiple groups is imperative.
  • Ability to ramp up quickly and learn new technologies with minimal lag time.
  • High attention to detail by prioritizing multiple programs simultaneously and delivering in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to understand cross-functional dependencies and drive towards technical solutions for multi-tiered programs.
  • Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results on technical programs.
  • Technical aptitude to quickly grasp complex technical issues and communicate directly with technical teams.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, interpersonal, and collaborative skills.
  • Excellent written and oral business communication and people skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
Preferred Skills/Certifications:
  • PMP, PMI ACP, PfMP.
  • Certification in Scrum / Kanban Methodology - CSM, ACSM. CSP - Scrum Master, PSM 1, PSM 2.
  • SAFe certification.
