Business Development Lead for Transformers

We are seeking a results-driven Business Development Lead to spearhead our sales efforts in West and North India. As the key contact for transformer sales, you will be responsible for developing business opportunities, engaging with decision-makers, and driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the transformer market, focusing on power and distribution transformers.
  • Engage with Key Decision-Makers: Establish strong relationships with infrastructure, renewable energy, utilities, and OEM sector professionals to promote our transformer solutions.
  • Build Strong Pipeline: Develop a robust pipeline of tenders, private projects, and long-term supply contracts to drive sales growth.
  • Manage Key Accounts: Foster strong relationships with existing clients to maximize repeat business and identify new sales opportunities.
  • Work Closely with Design & Operations Teams: Collaborate with internal teams to deliver technical solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Represent the Company: Participate in trade fairs, expos, and client meetings to promote our brand and products.
  • Monitor Competitor Activity: Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activity to provide strategic insights and recommendations.

This role requires a minimum of 8-15 years of relevant experience in transformer or heavy electrical equipment sales. A strong understanding of government procurement processes, EPCs, and turnkey projects is essential. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary to effectively interact with clients and stakeholders.

A Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is preferred, but an MBA can be beneficial for those with less industry experience. Fluency in English and local languages (Marathi/Hindi) is required for effective client communication.
