Job Overview

As a Pilates Instructor, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safety and well-being of clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct verbal screenings to assess client suitability for Pilates classes, recommending doctor clearance or referral to more qualified colleagues as needed.
  • Promote the benefits of Pilates and overall general health advantages of exercise to clients.
  • Teach Pilates classes ranging from 45 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes in duration.
  • Lead one-on-one Pilates sessions or small groups, focusing on individualized attention and designing tailored Pilates programs based on posture types and ability.
  • Establish a welcoming environment, putting clients at ease, and creating a positive atmosphere.
  • Inspect the teaching area for safety hazards and report any potential risks.
  • Engage class participants, foster client retention, and build rapport by understanding their goals and aspirations.
  • Teach classes with mixed abilities, adapting instruction to cater to varying needs within the class, incorporating modifications, progressions, and adaptations as necessary.
  • Offer variety in class by incorporating different Pilates methods and utilizing small equipment.
