Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Communications & Narrative Development: Develop compelling communication strategies and narratives for campaigns, leveraging analytics to optimize performance.
  • Digital Strategy & Advertising: Oversee digital advertising strategy and execution using relevant tools, driving ROI through data-driven decisions.
  • Content Ideation & Oversight: Lead a team to produce engaging content, including Shorts and long-form videos, that resonate with target audiences.
  • Channel Growth & SEO: Drive subscriber growth and viewership by optimizing video titles, descriptions, tags, thumbnails, and analyzing performance metrics.
  • Audience Analytics: Analyze YouTube Studio insights to understand audience retention, traffic sources, and demographics, informing future content decisions.
  • Content Innovation: Stay ahead of trends, experimenting with new formats, live streams, premieres, community posts, and competitor analysis.
  • Crisis Communication Preparedness: Develop and implement crisis communication plans as needed, ensuring timely and effective response management.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate effectively with internal teams, external agencies, and other stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Political Acumen: Deep understanding of Indian politics, history, socio-economic issues, and current affairs.
  • Professional Experience: 8-10 years in communications, video production, or channel management, ideally in media, journalism, news reporting, PR/communications agency, public affairs, or a political/advocacy setting, with demonstrable success in growing and managing a significant YouTube channel.
  • YouTube Expertise: Expertise on all things YouTube, with a deep understanding of the algorithm, content strategy, and SEO.
  • Video Storytelling: Strong ability to craft compelling narratives for video, from scripting to guiding the final edit, with experience in news reporting or documentary production.
  • Project Management: Skilled in managing video production workflows, creative teams, editors, creators, and project timelines.
  • Adaptability & Resilience: Thrives in fast-paced environments with a proactive approach and strong sense of ownership.
  • Proactive & Hands-On Approach: Willingness to roll up one's sleeves and get work done outside direct scope with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Exceptional Communication Skills: Ability to craft clear, concise, and persuasive narratives for diverse audiences, with excellent English and Hindi written and verbal skills.
  • Familiarity with Analytics Tools: Understanding of YouTube Studio is essential.
