Culinary Team Lead Job Opportunity
We are seeking a seasoned culinary professional to join our team as a senior team lead. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for leading and managing our culinary team, ensuring high-quality food production, and maintaining exceptional customer service standards.
This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of culinary principles. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in an upscale hotel, resort, or cruise ship environment, with at least 2 years of management experience.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Menu Planning and Execution: Developing and implementing menu plans that meet the needs of our guests, ensuring timely and efficient food production, and maintaining high-quality standards.
- Culinary Operations Management: Directing and supervising the kitchen team, managing inventory, and controlling costs.
- Staff Development and Performance Management: Monitoring workstation functions, assigning duties and responsibilities, evaluating staff performance, and providing coaching and training opportunities.
- Guest Services and Quality Assurance: Ensuring exceptional customer service standards, conducting quality control checks, and addressing guest complaints and feedback.
The successful candidate will possess excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. A culinary degree is required, and intermediate computer software skills are necessary.
