Job Description:

This is a challenging role for an experienced Technical Support Specialist who will be responsible for providing high-quality support to applications used by Investment Banking teams.

  • The successful candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for monitoring and incident management, responding promptly to system alerts and user-reported issues.
  • They will investigate and analyze incidents to determine their root causes, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to applications, databases, and integrations.

Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution

  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to applications, databases, and integrations.
  • Coordinate with development teams to implement fixes and enhancements.

Documentation and Knowledge Management

  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, solutions, and changes in the production environment.
  • Create and update support documentation, knowledge base articles, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Change Management and Release Support

  • Assist in planning and executing application releases and updates.
  • Conduct impact assessments for proposed changes to production systems.

**Key Requirements:**

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in supporting business applications, preferably in AWS.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, providing technical support for enterprise-level software applications.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and ITIL processes.
  • Experience with ticketing systems such as Jira and proficiency in troubleshooting Unix/Linux environments.
  • Knowledge of programming languages like Shell, Python, and SQL Server.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
