Job Overview:
We are seeking an accomplished Area Business Manager to oversee and manage a group of government and private customers to achieve designated sales target levels.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, while maintaining and expanding upon existing customer business for the assigned area.
They will own the relationship with direct and indirect business partners, drive the performance of channel partners to increase market reach, and act as first-line assessors of credit worthiness of direct and indirect customers.
Additionally, they will conduct regular in-person follow-ups to maintain business relationships and ensure compliance with all relevant policies and demonstration of highest levels of ethics & integrity.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Direct Sales
- Develop new methods for mapping prospects, generating leads, and driving sales deals with customers in Govt and Private sectors.
- Promote the use of core products within prospective customer accounts.
- Demonstrate products to qualified target accounts.
- Conduct Training workshops for Radiographers – CROP to enhance their skills.
- Represent the company at Key Conferences in the field of Radiology/Orthopedics and Veterinary in their Territory.
- Generate tenders and facilitate the Govt tendering process.
- Indirect (Channel) Sales
- Appoint and manage distributors/channels for product range.
- Plan and implement market coverage strategies based upon business potential & growth along with Regional General Manager.
- Develop & engage channel partners throughout the year.
- Conduct QBR/Performance review every quarter and highlight critical issues to the RGM and Vertical.
- Conduct Sales Training Workshop for Channel partners every 6 months.
- Account Management
- Develop and maintain strategic long-term business relationships with existing customers.
- Recommend products & solutions that fit well with customers' business needs.
- Act as a business consultant to customers.
- Support in bringing up voice of customers to the Regional General Manager.
- Maintain accounts receivable to the desired Nil or lowest level and take constant follow-up on non-payment issues.
- Regularly update on competition activity and report back to immediate manager.
Alignment with Product Verticals & Other Functions
- Improve alignment with verticals such as Medical Films and XRS business to ensure understanding of new and existing product range.
- Highlight disconnect between sales & other business functions and work with them for process standardizing.
Key Requirements:
- Graduation or Equivalent educational qualification - BE /B Tech & MBA is desired.
- 4 – 6 years plus experience in ideally radiology or medical devices (Equipment and consumable combination sales or service).
- Work Experience in the field of Radiology or Healthcare/Medical Devices /Relevant Industry.
