Job Description:

The Manufacturing Excellence Manager is responsible for spearheading the implementation of improvement programs and standardizing process improvement approaches across units to achieve consistent and sustainable results.

  1. Ensure adherence to Global Supply Chain processes and leverage best practice standards to improve performance.
  2. Spearhead the recognition of Drive plants by industry awards such as Deming, TPM consistency, Excellence, and other recognitions by the Indian industry.
  3. Drive the implementation of improvement programs and standardize process improvement approaches across units to achieve consistent and sustainable results.
  4. Identify defects, delays, waste, mistakes, and facilitate corrective actions using Lean Methodologies.
  5. Support the development of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) to ensure maximum plant availability and extended equipment life.
  6. Analyze operational line OEE and collaborate with the team to enhance and sustain it.
  7. Guide in the selection of appropriate tools to solve complex process problems and use correct metrics to establish baseline performance and target for improvement initiatives.
  8. Prepare training modules on Quality Continual Improvement concepts and methods.
  9. Develop specific manufacturing performance improvement initiatives to optimize cost, eliminate waste, and improve operational flexibility.
  10. Maintain rigor in the implementation of Global ManEx processes and standards via annual alignment reviews.
  11. Guide auditable improvements in understanding of required processes and culture shift with sustained results via annual unit audits.
  12. Establish/promote a culture of TPM across levels in the manufacturing spectrum.
  13. Develop TPM professionals through training and development.
  14. Establish a program to cascade the culture onto the shop floor with feedback and action plans.
