Accounting Professional

This role is focused on supporting the Accounting department in producing accurate and timely financial statements.

The position reports to the Accounting Senior Manager, who oversees all accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and record AP, AR, and other general accounting transactions for timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Review and approve POs and invoices in Nexonia for seamless vendor payments processing.
  • Process weekly check run for vendor payments to ensure timely settlement.
  • Initiate wire requests to facilitate secure and efficient payment transactions.
  • Create necessary AP accrual journal entries and monthly deferral entries to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Coordinate 1099 filings for compliance with tax regulations.
  • Prepare AP and other Accounting documents requested for audit to ensure transparency and accuracy.
  • Work directly with auditors to address any questions or concerns during the auditing process.
  • Perform walkthrough of Accounting tasks as requested by auditors to facilitate smooth auditing processes.
  • Evaluate and ensure the accuracy of Fixed Assets additions & retirements to maintain a true picture of company assets.
  • Maintain Fixed Assets Module to track and manage fixed assets effectively.
  • Verify that all assets are depreciated monthly to reflect their correct value on the balance sheet.
  • Verify that monthly depreciation journal entries are accurate to prevent misstatement of financial results.
  • Create all necessary retirement entries to accurately reflect asset disposals.
  • Ensure government filings and business renewals are filed on time to maintain compliance and avoid penalties.
  • Maintain Business Filings document to track and manage key business documents efficiently.
  • Work closely with tax consultants to ensure accurate tax planning and compliance.

Requirements:

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel to analyze and present complex data effectively.
  • Knowledge of advanced accounting platforms such as NetSuite to leverage automation and efficiency gains.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based reporting, AR, and AP systems to optimize workflow and improve decision-making.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to convey ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Ability to work under pressure with changing deadlines and responsibilities while maintaining composure and focus.
  • Must be detail-oriented, flexible, and able to multitask to prioritize and manage competing demands.
  • Highly organized, strong analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate complex issues and drive solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance to provide a solid foundation in accounting principles and practices.
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience to build expertise and develop strategic thinking.
  • Hands-on experience with month-end and year-end close processes, account reconciliations, and financial audit to demonstrate technical competence and attention to detail.
