We are currently seeking a dedicated Technical Support Specialist to provide top-notch assistance for applications built on Progress OpenEdge.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Offer Level 2 and 3 support for applications developed using Progress OpenEdge.
  • Continuously monitor application performance and guarantee system availability.
  • Analyze and resolve incidents, service requests, and problem tickets within agreed Service Level Agreements.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement long-term fixes for recurring issues.
  • Schedule batch processes, jobs, and tasks.
  • Coordinate with development teams for bug fixes, enhancements, and release deployments.
  • Support application upgrades, patches, and migration activities.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of issues, resolutions, and standard operating procedures.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Demonstrated expertise in providing technical support for Progress OpenEdge (ABL/4GL) in a production environment.
  • A solid understanding of Progress Database concepts and performance troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Experience in incident management, problem management, and change management practices.
  • Familiarity with UNIX/Linux commands and scripting languages.
  • Knowledge of ticketing tools such as ServiceNow, JIRA, or Remedy.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Understanding of integration with APIs/web services.
  • Experience working within global support models.
  • Fundamental knowledge of Software Development Life Cycles (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
