Role Summary
We are seeking an accomplished privacy professional to lead our privacy compliance efforts.
This position involves conducting thorough risk assessments, advising on data handling best practices, and leading audits to ensure adherence to global data protection regulations.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to embed a culture of data protection throughout the organization.
The ideal candidate will have exceptional expertise in data protection laws and frameworks, including DPDPA and GDPR.
Skills:
- Data Protection Laws and Frameworks: Exceptional knowledge of DPDPA, GDPR, and other relevant data protection frameworks.
- Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs): Conduct PIAs and DPIAs for new projects, products, and data processing activities, analyzing potential risks and recommending effective mitigation strategies.
- Audit and Compliance: Plan, execute, and report on internal and external privacy audits, identifying compliance gaps and deviations, and developing remediation plans.
- Policy and Process Development: Create, define, and continuously improve privacy-related processes and procedures, including data subject request handling, consent management, and data retention policies.

Requirements:
- Minimum 6-9 years of overall experience in a privacy, compliance, or information security role, with a strong focus on data protection.
- Expert-level knowledge and practical experience with DPDPA and GDPR.
- Familiarity with hosted platforms (AWS/Azure) and the security controls needed to protect data.
Actionable Steps:
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the organization's data protection framework.
- Implement technical controls such as DLP solutions and data masking techniques to enhance data privacy and security.
- Evaluate vendor platforms for compliance with data protection laws and recommend necessary controls.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience implementing privacy frameworks such as ISO 27701 and NIST Privacy Framework for a Fintech organization.
- Proven experience suggesting and implementing technical controls to enhance privacy, such as DLP and data masking, tokenization, etc.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a methodical approach to compliance.
