Job Title: Privacy and Data Protection Counsel

We are seeking a seasoned Privacy and Data Protection Counsel to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data protection laws and regulations, with a strong emphasis on U.S. laws.

The role involves providing strategic legal guidance on privacy and data protection issues, developing and implementing the company's global data protection and privacy program, and partnering with stakeholders to provide subject matter expertise and training on data protection legal and compliance obligations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Advising on complex data protection and privacy matters
  • Developing and implementing data protection policies and procedures
  • Partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with data protection regulations
  • Providing advice on AI governance and compliance efforts

Requirements include:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of global data protection and privacy laws
  • Expertise in advising on complex data protection and privacy matters
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with lawyers and non-lawyers
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred qualifications include:

  • LLB or Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
  • Enrollment with a State Bar Council under the Bar Council of India and/or passing the All-India Bar Examination, and/or member of the bar in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
