Compliance Engineer

The role of Compliance Engineer is pivotal in ensuring that our organization adheres to privacy and data protection frameworks. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments, advising on data handling practices, and leading audits to guarantee adherence to DPDPA, GDPR, and other relevant regulations.

Key ResponsibilitiesExpertise:
  • Regulatory Frameworks: Demonstrate exceptional expertise in DPDPA and GDPR, applying deep understanding to assess, implement, and maintain robust privacy programs.
  • Design and Development: Collaborate with product and engineering teams to integrate privacy requirements into the software development lifecycle, ensuring new products and features are designed with privacy in mind from inception.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Lead and conduct Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) for new projects, products, and data processing activities, analyzing potential risks and recommending effective mitigation strategies.
Security and Technology:
  • Data Security Controls: Possess strong grasp of data security principles, including access controls, encryption, and incident response, advising on technical controls such as Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions and data masking techniques.
  • Evaluation and Enhancement: Evaluate existing technical and organizational security controls to identify vulnerabilities impacting personal data, recommending measures to enhance data protection.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Law, or related field, advanced certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPP/A, CIPM, or CISSP highly preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 6-9 years overall experience in privacy, compliance, or information security role, with strong focus on data protection.
