Electrical Panel Quality Assurance Lead

Job Description:

The Electrical Panel Quality Assurance Lead will be responsible for overseeing all quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) processes at our manufacturing facility for low-voltage electrical panels.

This role will ensure compliance with industry standards, customer requirements, and internal quality objectives. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of low-voltage electrical panel design, manufacturing processes, and testing standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and other relevant standards for LV electrical panel manufacturing.
  2. Monitor and control quality processes across all stages of production, from raw material inspection to final product testing.
  3. Lead, mentor, and manage a team of quality engineers, inspectors, and technicians to achieve quality objectives.
  4. Ensure adherence to industry standards (e.g., IEC, UL, BIS) and customer-specific requirements for LV electrical panels.
  5. Drive initiatives for process optimization, defect reduction, and quality improvement using tools like Six Sigma, Lean, and root cause analysis.
  6. Oversee testing procedures, including dielectric tests, temperature rise tests, and short-circuit withstand tests, to ensure product reliability and safety.
  7. Collaborate with suppliers to ensure incoming materials meet quality specifications and conduct supplier audits as needed.
  8. Act as the primary point of contact for quality-related customer queries, complaints, and audits.
  9. Maintain accurate quality records, prepare reports, and present quality performance metrics to senior management.
  10. Identify potential quality risks and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to mitigate them.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, and minimum of 8-10 years of experience in quality management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the LV electrical panel or similar electrical manufacturing industry.

Strong technical knowledge, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential for this role.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or certifications in Quality Management (e.g., Six Sigma Black Belt, CQE) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in quality management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the LV electrical panel or similar electrical manufacturing industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential for this role.
