Job Title: Electrical Design Manager

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Design Manager to join our team. As an Electrical Design Manager, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of electrical systems, including power distribution, control systems, and instrumentation.

  • Develop project plans from conceptual design to completion, focusing on DC SMPS based Power Systems and UPS Panels.
  • Provide technical and engineering support to internal and external customers, ensuring that their needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Familiarity with safety standards for panel designing, such as IEC 60204-1 and IEC 61439-1-2.
  • Analyze technical requirements of project goals, identifying areas where improvements can be made.
  • Prepare detailed design documents (BOM, GA Drawings, Electrical drawings), ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant standards.
  • Review and validate Engineering Drawings and Design Calculations in line with technical specifications and relevant engineering standards.
  • Optimize Bill of Materials (BOM) costs by suggesting various alternatives, ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.
  • Maintain accurate Quality Engineering Documentation and implement practices to ensure documentation accuracy.
  • Plan and execute process improvements and new product projects as per Quality Management System requirements.
  • Offer proactive and contemporary engineering support to production and Quality teams, fostering collaboration and innovation.
  • Interface with customers to understand their requirements, ensuring that their needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Manage New Product Introduction (NPI) and prototyping activities, ensuring successful product launch.
  • Validate and characterize prototypes, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
  • Maintain project schedules and MIS reports to meet desired dates, ensuring timely delivery.

About You

  • DC SMPS based Power Systems design experience for telecom and industrial applications.
  • Electro-mechanical design experience of Electrical Panels / UPS Panels.
  • AUTO CAD proficiency for SLD & Wiring Diagrams.
  • Knowledge of electrical switchgear, cables, bus-bar sizing, mechanical designing, wire harness, product quality, and safety norms.
  • Understanding of mechanical and electrical codes and standards.
  • Project management skills, including project execution value chain, cost planning, resource allocation, deliverable coordination, quality assurance, and MIS reporting.
