Quality Assurance Specialist

Role Summary:

The Quality Assurance Specialist is accountable for ensuring the quality of raw materials received and monitoring in-process production to maintain compliance with defined standards.

  • This role demands hands-on inspection, problem-solving, and coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure zero-defect output and continuous improvement in quality performance.

Incoming Quality Control:

The specialist inspects and verifies incoming raw materials, components, and parts against specifications and purchase orders. This includes preparing inspection reports and escalating any deviations found. The specialist also participates in First Article Inspections (FAI) and sample approval processes.

  • Conduct thorough inspections of incoming materials and verify compliance with established specifications.
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports and escalate any discrepancies to management.
  • Participate in FAI and sample approval processes to ensure seamless integration into production.

In-Process Quality Control:

The Quality Assurance Specialist conducts regular quality checks across production stages to ensure products meet specifications. This involves identifying real-time defects or process deviations and initiating immediate corrective actions. The specialist ensures adherence to quality checkpoints and control plans on the shop floor.

Coordination & Problem Solving:

The Quality Assurance Specialist collaborates with production supervisors and operators to implement quality standards effectively. This involves leading or supporting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA) for defects or non-conformities. The specialist also supports implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Collaborate closely with production teams to implement quality standards and procedures.

Documentation & Tools:

The Quality Assurance Specialist maintains accurate and comprehensive inspection records, reports, and change logs. This involves ensuring that all inspection tools and gauges are calibrated and used correctly. The specialist also supports internal and external audits with traceable documentation.

Candidate Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of experience in quality assurance, preferably in the manufacturing sector.

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and coordination skills.

Preferred Industry Background:

Manufacturing / Automotive / Engineering / Fabrication setups with strong QC procedures
