Job Description

This visionary role drives excellence in literacy instruction, fostering a deep appreciation for reading and critical analysis of texts across all relevant age groups or academic levels.

The Program Lead will champion evidence-based practices, curriculum innovation, and professional development to ensure all learners achieve strong reading comprehension, fluency, vocabulary, and literary analysis skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the school's reading programs independently.
  • Collaborate with teachers across the school.
  • Foster effective student engagement.
  • Develop and implement initiatives with parents and the community.
  • Manage documentation and communication systems.
  • Implement initiatives under the school reading program effectively.
  • Maintain and evaluate the program in real-time.
  • Generate reports and analyze data.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in English (Desirable - Post graduation in language and literature)
  • Experience: 2-5 years of progressive experience in teaching reading and literature at K-12.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Strong written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical skills to identify trends and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills for professional development.
  • Proficiency in educational technology and its application in literacy instruction.
  • Able to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills.
