The role of an Area Sales Manager at The Sleep Company involves managing sales and store operations in a specific geographic area. Key responsibilities include achieving and surpassing sales targets, adhering to company SOP, managing leads effectively, handling team management, and ensuring smooth store operations.

Sales Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive growth and meet targets in the assigned territory.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and challenges.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead a team of store managers and customer representatives' executives to maximize their performance.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to ensure store team members meet individual and collective objectives.

Territory Management:

  • Segment the area and allocate sales targets to the store teams accordingly.
  • Monitor sales performance across the area and take necessary corrective actions.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • B uild strong relationships with key customers.
  • A d dress customer inquiries, complaints, and concerns promptly to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

Sales Performance Analysis:

  • Review sales data, performance reports, and metrics regularly to assess progress towards goals.
  • Analyze sales figures, identify trends, and propose strategies for improvement.

Market Expansion:

  • Identify untapped areas for business expansion and implement plans to penetrate new markets.
  • Increase the company's market share by implementing effective marketing strategies.

Collaboration and Coordination:

  • Collaborate with various teams to align sales strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Ensure seamless operations and effective problem-solving by coordinating with other departments.

Reporting:

  • Submit accurate and timely sales reports, forecasts, and budgets to senior management.
